The problem

Short-form social is usually split across three or four people — someone writes, someone shoots, someone cuts, someone captions — and the idea gets diluted at every handover. Small publishers and small brands rarely have that many people, and the work still has to land in the first two seconds.

What I did

Wrote and produced each piece end to end: hook, script, edit, caption, publish. For a Southeast Asian political and literary publication that meant translating critical editorial material into formats people actually scroll — vertical video and multi-slide carousels — without flattening the argument into a platitude.

Alongside it, digital campaign production around reading events and anthology launches, press and advocacy communications as volunteer work, and full social management for my own small business: strategy, calendar, photography direction, and copy.

The result

Five pieces across four formats and three organisations, all public. As with the written work, the links go to the originals:

What is and isn’t claimed here Engagement and reach figures are not quoted. Most of this work sits on accounts I do not own, whose analytics are not mine to publish — and on platforms where those numbers are shaped as much by the algorithm on the day as by the work. The pieces are linked instead, so the craft is the thing being judged.
